I was lucky enough to have discovered future shelter at the Made on the Left designer market a few Sundays ago.
future shelter is owned by Adam Coffey the production engineer and Jane King the designer. They specialise in creating unique textile designs and applying it on all sorts of materials; leather, paper, fabric. All products are designed and made in their North Perth workshop and their collection displayed in their store at the same premise. Below are just some of the collections they have created.
Miniature badges coated with a print fabric. There is a variety of different prints to choose from; pretty in girly pink, retro robots and soft earthy tones. These are also available in magnets. Since then, they’re produced an aeronautical inspired set. Check it out on their blog.
And last but not least, my favourites. The nicely printed coasters in a wide range of designs. I chose a mix of 6 for $40. Bargain! I chose 2 of each colour scheme to add to my other set from a Cape Town designer. The above set is of Australian landscape which were made in conjunction with Tourism WA. I adore the camel one. I suspect it’s inspired by Cable Beach up in Broome.
My lust-after list from their website.
Check out the full collection at their workshop and store or shop online. You can also follow their blog for any new collections.
PS. They’ve also listed a few cool shops in and around the North Perth area on their website. Be sure to check those out too!
