Weekly Photo Challenge: Window

I’ve been really blessed with parents who embrace taking time off for the annual family holiday. I blame them for my wanderlust (amongst other things in life like my short legs and grey hair).

Back in the day when we had a 4×4, the 8 of us (including the grandmother and aunty) would pile in, and just drive. North of Perth most of the time.

During the summer of ’07, we went on a road trip to Geraldton to visit my mother’s friend with a side trip to Kalbarri to visit the Kalbarri National Park.

The two most iconic natural attractions are is Nature’s Window which is a great view-point of the Murchison River gorge. Nature’s Window is a natural arch formed in the red rock which offers quite a spectacular view of the river (in winter) or the river bed (in summer).

A must-see if you’re going up that way.
